Sit-In: How Four Friends Stood Up by Sitting Down by Andrea Davis Pinkney
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
A beautifully written book about an ugly time in our history. When non-white people were not allowed to eat in restaurants with white people. Four boys sat down at a lunch counter and asked for a cup of coffee and a doughnut. A simple act that started a revolution!
