Notes from a Liar and Her Dog by Gennifer Choldenko
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Ant does not fit in with her "perfect" family. They certainly don't like her and Ant isn't sure if anyone in her family loves her. Thankfully, she has her best friend, Harrision, her dog, Pistachio, and a caring teacher, Just Carol to lean on! A book full of raw emotion.

This is the second book in "The Missing" series and it is just as fabulous as the first! Jonah, Chip, and Alex are all adopted and started receiving mysterious letters. Now the scary part begins. The three boys, along with Jonah's sister, Katherine, are sent back to England in the year 1483. It turns out that Chip and Alex were famous back then - which may not be a good thing. I can't wait for the third book called "Sabotaged", but it doesn't come out until August of 2010.

Dani Noir
Dani Noir by Nova Ren Suma
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Dani loves old movies (and since I love old movies too, I loved her before I even open the book) and that's a good thing because the only thing to do in her town is to go to the Little Art movie theater. Because of her love movies, she sees everthing around her like it should be on film - and boy is Dani a drama queen. When she stumbles onto a real life mystery can she be level-headed enough to solve it?

Sammy Keyes and the Search for Snake Eyes by Wendelin Van Draanen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Calling all of you who love MYSTERIES. Sammy Keyes is an awesome series. Sammy (short for Samantha) lives with her grandma in a retirement community. That means that Sammy has to sneak in and out of the building by the fire escape because kids are not allowed. In this book, Sammy gets mixed up with an abandoned baby and a gang. Sammy is a gutsy kid - you'll really root for her!
